Frequently answered questions.

Is my vehicle insured?

Yes, the vehicle is insured while in our possession. A condition report (Bill of Lading) is done at the time of pick up with the person turning the car over and the driver. At destination, the receiving party re-inspects the vehicle to make sure it arrives in the same condition it left in. Occurrences not covered are clearly listed on the Bill of Lading; if for some reason you feel that damage has occurred, you must note it on the report before you sign it and before the driver leaves. Any claims made after this time will not be honored.

Should I cancel my auto insurance while the vehicle is in transit?

No. Please do not cancel your car insurance policy. In order to ship your vehicle, you must maintain your car insurance (at least comprehensive) active to cover 'Acts of God' and glass.

Can someone else sign for my vehicle upon delivery?

Yes. You can have someone else meet the driver at pickup or delivery. Please inform the office whom will represent you at delivery or pickup.

Do I have to pay deductible?

No, you do not.

Do you reimburse for rental car fees if my vehicle is late?

No, we do not.

Can I choose if I want my car on the top or the bottom of the trailer?

You can make that choice if you would like your car bottom or top loaded but please specify this when you get your quote. Depending on the type of vehicles special rates could apply to be able to accommodate you.

Are personal items in the car insured?

Personal items inside the car are not covered by the carrier's cargo insurance.

What happens if my vehicle is damaged while being transported?

At delivery, the trucker will present you with a Bill of Lading/Condition report. If there are any damages:

  • Mark them down on the Bill of Lading/Condition report in the appropriate section at delivery and make sure to keep a copy.
  • Take pictures.
  • Notify our office as soon as possible (509) 248-5874.

What payment options do I have?

We accept cashiers checks, cash and Postal Money Orders only. We also accept Visa or Mastercard over the phone with the office. If paying by Credit Card the payment will need to made after the vehicle is picked up to insured the payment goes through before delivery. There is a pay by phone fee for this convenience. We do not accept personal checks. The customer agrees that if the payment cannot be made at delivery, the vehicle will be stored at the customer’s expense. Should the customer be unable to take delivery for any reason, the vehicle will be placed in storage and all storage and/or delivery charges will be the responsibility of the customer.

What if my vehicle arrives to the destination before I do?

If you are not available to receive your vehicle and cannot designate a consignee on your behalf, the car will be kept in a secure storage facility. Terminal and/or storage fees may apply.

Do you haul inoperable vehicles?

As a broker we are able to help you get non-running vehicles hauled. It is helpful if they roll, brake and steer.

Where is my vehicle picked up and delivered?

Due to the fact that most of our trucks are 80 feet in length, navigating residential streets is not possible. Therefore, the driver and customer will set up a mutually acceptable location such as a nearby parking lot or dealership. In most cases we can get anywhere from a few blocks to a mile within your address.

How far ahead should I plan?

We would like to have two to three weeks’ notice prior to your shipment. Then again, if you need to move a car immediately, we may still be able to help. Tell us what you need and we will offer our best suggestions to accommodate your situation.

Should I leave gasoline in my car?

Yes, you should have some gasoline in the vehicle's tank. Preferably 1/4 of the tank.

What should I do to prepare my vehicle for transport?

  • Make sure the car has a clean exterior so the trucker can make a proper inspection of any existing scratches or dings.
  • Empty it of personal belongings.
  • Remove all loose parts attached to the body, any non-permanent luggage, bike or ski racks.

How much does it cost to ship my car?

The total cost depends on a few variables:

  • Type of vehicle: size and weight
  • Condition: running or not running. Running means the engine starts and the car moves on its own power. Not running means the car does not start.
  • Type of trailer: open or enclosed
  • Distance/mileage: amount of miles between your 'to' and 'from' locations
  • Modifications: lowered, lifted, larger tires, racks on top, etc.
  • Seasonal fluctuations: seasonal supply and demands change on certain routes.
